ISE310 Facilities and Logistics

ISE 310L consists of two parts. The first part deals with the strategic aspects of Supply Chain Management, the second with Facilities Layout. Both parts include a laboratory that uses commercial software to supplement the classroom discussions

Within the framework of supply chain management, we include inventory, transportation, information and facilities. A good supply chain can be a competitive asset to a firm. Weaknesses in the design, planning and operation of the chain can seriously hurt the performance of the firm
In this course, we employ a practical approach to facilities planning, taking advantage of empirical and analytical approaches, using both traditional and contemporary concepts.
