ISE514 Advanced Production Planning and Scheduling

One of the cornerstones of a successful manufacturing, distribution, or service business is the proper planning of production and subsequent execution of the required activities – be it the making of a product, transporting, or delivery of a service.

In this course, we first study the techniques of converting customers’ orders into a coherent and efficient production plan. We continue with a detailed study of the basic principles and practical techniques of generating feasible schedules that tend to optimize the company’s objectives.

The course concludes with a brief introduction to generating schedules for large projects, such as the building of bridge.
