ISE525 Design of Experiments

Engineers and Scientists are interested in designing or improving processes. To do this effectively, they need to take data that are relevant to the functioning of the design or process and determine the best parameters.

In this course, we first study the statistical techniques required to analyze the data - Regression and Analysis of Variance. We continue by exploring the methods of selecting the most influential predictors of the performance of our design or process. Finally, we construct experiments that minimize the amount of data needed to arrive at effient outcomes.

We conclude with methods of making our models robust in a noisy environment.
