ISE544 Management of Engineering Teams

Design and management of engineering teams. Group decision-making, motivation, leadership, infrastructural requirements, performance measurement, team diversity, conflict, and integration.

The course is divided into four sections:
We examine the characteristics of teams.
From this we procede to look at virtual teams.
Then we study developing managerial skills in engineers and scientists.
We conclude with a study of negotiation - Decision analysis, Behavioral decision making, Game theory and Negotiation Analysis.
The course includes team exercises, case studies and individual and team assignments.
